We encourage you to bring a camera to capture all the aerial fun. Our pilots also fly with GoPro cameras and are ready to record this wonderful experience and the fantastic mountain scenery of Idaho.
Depending on the specific flight time, we usually meet at the base of Bald Mountain at the River Run Lodge (where the gondola is located, N. 43o 40.250' W. 114o 22.050') or at our landing zone, (LZ), which is the large grassy field adjacent to the “Upper Parking Lot” for the River Run Plaza. It is marked with numerous windsocks, banners, etc.
We offer flights daily throughout the summer season, weather permitting. There are several flight times to choose from that are scheduled each day in the morning and late afternoon. (Approximate meeting times are: 6:30am, 8am, 9:30am & 6pm. (Reservations are required.) The whole experience from start to finish requires about 1 1/2 - 2 hours and up to 3 hours in the evening flight time. During the early morning, (6:30 & 8:00) and evening times, (6pm) we access the mountain via our company 4x4. At 9:30am we are obligated to use the SVC gondola, (participants are responsible for gondola passes). Digital picture and video packages are available. Athletic shoes, (hiking boots or sneakers) and long pants are required. We also recommend a light or mid-weight jacket and sunglasses.
Flights are offered almost daily throughout the winter ski season, weather permitting. During the winter season we operate during the approximate hours that ski lifts are functioning, (9am-4pm). Common meetings times are; 9am, 11am,1pm and 2:30pm (Reservations are required.) The whole experience from start to finish takes about 1 1/2 - 2 hours. We access the mountain via the SVC gondola and ski lifts, (participants are responsible for passes). If one is skiing that day, that pass obviously works. Day passes for “foot traffic”, (going up on the lifts without skis), are also available. Dress warm. Winter hiking/soft shell snowboarding boots work well with appropriate winter ski attire.
When reserving a time we will need the names of the participants, their estimated weights, phone number for a contact person and credit card info to hold the reservation. (Payment is processed in the landing area after the flights are completed. Participants can pay together or separately. Checks, cash and credit cards are accepted)
